Hi, I’m Ness

I graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work in 2018. While completing my studies, I had the opportunity to work in several settings such as housing, drugs and alcohol and in cancer treatments. In late 2020 I relocated from Melbourne to Perth where I began working as a bereavement counsellor, supporting children, young people, and their families following the suicide of someone they loved. It has been a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families during some of the most difficult times in their lives, providing a safe, therapeutic space for them to process their grief.

Through this work, I discovered a deep passion for supporting people through all forms of loss. Grief can arise from many life experiences, including the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a home, a pet, a career, or other significant life changes. Every person's experience of grief is unique, and I believe there is no "right" way to grieve.

I continue to specialise in supporting individuals and families following traumatic loss. My experience includes working with families affected by suicide, family violence, homicide, violent or unexpected deaths, and situations where the person who died had experienced significant vulnerability or lived in unsafe circumstances. I understand the complex emotions that often accompany traumatic grief and strive to provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where healing can begin.

My approach is warm, gentle, and collaborative. I will walk alongside you as you navigate your grief and trauma, helping you make sense of your experiences and gently adjust to this new chapter of your life. Wherever you are in your journey, we will take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.

Grief was never meant to be carried alone, and you don't have to face it on your own.
